What is an action camera?
An action camera is a digital camera designed for recording action while being immersed in it. Action cameras are therefore typically compact, rugged, and waterproof at the surface level. They are ultraportable cameras that can be fixed in places that bigger cameras would otherwise be unable to accomplish. These little devices can record as much as 5.4k footage and take 20 MP photos with certain models, although some may be less powerful, so they can conserve battery and reduce storage space.
Action cameras are used for capturing footage of extreme sports such as horse back riding, scuba diving, ATV’s, etc. They are also used for capturing footage of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and fishing. Action cameras are popular because they are small and easy to use. They can be mounted on helmets, handlebars, or other equipment to capture unique perspectives.
Some of the best action cameras available in the market include GoPro HERO9-11 Black, DJI Osmo Action 2, and Osmo Action 3. There’re several more but we are gonna take a deeper dive (no pun intended) into these 3.

In conclusion, an action camera is not only dependable but durable. No need to put your cell phone at risk. My current favorite camera is the Action 3. I love the magnetic connection, the quick horizontal vs vertical filming. I’ve dropped the DJI cameras many times. I found that buying the magnetic housing for the Action 2 and screen covers have been worth every penny
